Mandy is my husband Nathans cousin, so I was SO very excited to hear that they were engaged! I was even more excited when they asked me to be their photographer! Cody and Mandy are such a sweet couple, they have great sense of humors and calm, quiet, relaxed way about them. They’re the kind of people that help you kick up your feet and relax when you’re around them, and I absolutely love that about them. I am soo looking forward to their big day in August! I read a quote the other day that said “comparison is the thief of joy”. It’s so easy to compare yourself to those around you, and feel like you fall short. It makes me think of all the couples that I get to meet doing photography. They are all so amazing and so special in their own ways, you could never compare them because they’re so different. Sometimes I find myself wishing my house was as clean as this one or that I looked more like that girl or my personality was more like this or whatever it is, but that’s just not me. I read another quote that said “there is no one alive who is youer than you” I think that was actually Dr. Suess! I love that. I want to encourage everyone reading this to make an effort to be super YOU this week! Anyway moving onto todays post :) I got to spend the day with Scott and my cousin Cecilia (that’s right I’m related to this beauty!) and I had so much fun! They’re so fun loving, caring, and they’re super funny and just a blast to be around! I hope you enjoy these images!

This wedding was really something special to me, my best friends brother is the groom and over the years I’ve gotten to know the family quite well. I was so honoured when I was asked to photograph their wedding, it meant so much to me not only to be there, but capture it. The wedding was a dream. I’m trying to think how to describe it! The feeling of the day was incredible.. they are just so in love with each other you can see it, and feel it. I hope enjoy these images from the day :)
